EAV (Ērglu arodvidusskola) is a public organization directly dependent on the Education Ministry involved in the different Latvian training systems for young people and adults especially in the wood construction sector, forestry development and the hotel business. (57 employees and 210 trainees per year). In 1996, EAV developed the first training in Latvia in wood construction. EAV is still the most important training establishment in this professional sector in Latvia. EAV is a member of the NYMPHEA network.

Role of the organization in the project

Without experience in the eco-construction sector, EAV would like to integrate at the end of the project the eco-builder reference system in order to include it in its global training offer. EAV will integrate the transnational network of resource centers and will take part in  disseminating and promoting the results. It will be in charge of setting up the experimental training and will be contributing its expertise in distance training. Its participation in the project will consist in testing the teaching material coming from the transfers and adapted to the professional sector.
